## **Instructions**
### **Step 1: Prepare the Cake**
1. Preheat your oven to **350°F (175°C)**. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the **flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, granulated sugar**, and **brown sugar**.
3. Add the **eggs, milk, oil**, and **vanilla extract** to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
4. Gradually pour in the **boiling water** while stirring. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay! This creates the moist texture of the cake.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for **30–35 minutes**, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
### **Step 2: Add the Marshmallow Layer**
1. Once the cake has finished baking, remove it from the oven and immediately sprinkle the **mini marshmallows** evenly over the hot cake.
2. Return the cake to the oven for another **5–7 minutes**, or until the marshmallows have softened and puffed up.
3. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
### **Step 3: Make the Chocolate Frosting**
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the **heavy cream**, **chocolate chips**, and **butter**. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
2. Remove from heat and stir in the **vanilla extract**. Let the frosting cool slightly before pouring it over the marshmallow-covered cake.
### **Step 4: Top with Nuts (Optional)**
1. If using, sprinkle the **chopped walnuts or pecans** over the top of the cake for an extra crunch.
2. Allow the cake to cool completely before cutting into squares.
